Anti-Radiation hinge doors are basically semi hermetically sealed doors with 2mm thick lead inside. These doors are specially designed for room with radiation shielding requirements.
Anti-radiation hinge doors have 2mm thickness of lead lining inside that comply with AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) requirements for the X-Ray shielding doors. 3-sided aluminium wall frame also come with 2mm lead inlay.
44 mm thick door core consists of 4 mm thick high pressure compact laminate both sides, 2mm thick lead lining and 34mm thick high pressure injected polyurethane. The door also provides noise insulation up to 28 db.
Apart from 3 tier EPDM sealing gasket for wall frames, a special drop seal is fixed on the lower part of the door blade to ensure perfect sealing.
Wall frame are produced form 3mm thick aluminium with 3 mm MS C-channel to reinforce the door life hinges. The wall frame installed on brick/block wall or plastered openings with the help of anchor fasteners. Door frames may supply to knockdown form with joints for bolted assembly at site.
Stainless steel ball bearing butt hinges fixed to the door frame and door leaf for noiseless and friction free movement for years after year. Mortise latch and concealed lever action flush bolt is provided to the leading stile edge.
As an option 10 mm thick lead glass having minimum lead capacity equivalent to 2.2 mmpb with clear view of 300x300, fitted in 2 mm thick brush finished stainless steel frame on both sides of the door, can be provided to see inside the radiation room.
Many other useful options are provided with the door like door closer, smoke seal for air tightness, drop seal at the bottom of the door, louvers in the door leaf, any size of vision window, kick plate etc.
